Our Policy

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in every stage of our operations, from manufacturing to final production. Our key initiatives include:

  • Recycling & Waste Reduction: All paper and corrugated waste are collected daily for recycling.
  • Energy Efficiency: Our facility was designed with sustainability in mind, featuring LED lighting throughout, motion sensors to reduce unnecessary energy use, and a strategic hillside location that improves heating and cooling efficiency.
  • Sustainable Print Technology: Our large format department exclusively utilizes HP Latex technology, deliberately avoiding UV printing. HP Latex Printing Technologies offers a more sustainable solution with water-based inks that address environmental and health concerns while maintaining high-performance print quality.
  • Equipment & Vendor Selection: We prioritize long-term partnerships with manufacturers such as HP, whose sustainability commitments align with ours.

GSB Digital is audited annually and is FSC-CoC certified, ensuring that our paper products come from responsibly managed forests and are handled according to FSC-certification guidelines in our facility and throughout our production line.

Our Core Values

GSB Digital is committed to sustainable practices in the printing industry. In our dedication to ethical and eco-friendly operations, we implement Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody (FSC-COC) Certification. GSB Digital has adopted the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Core Values as set forth below: 

    • No illegal logging or the trade in illegal wood or forest products: We commit to sourcing paper and wood-based materials from distributors who support ethical harvesting.
  • No violation of traditional and human rights in forestry operations: We prefer FSC-CoC suppliers who adhere to fair labor practices, respecting the well-being and dignity of workers.
  • No high conservation values in forestry operations: We source materials from suppliers who actively avoid impacting areas of ecological importance, ensuring the protection of biodiversity.
  • No significant conversion of forests to plantations or non-forest use: Our sourcing practices prioritize suppliers who engage in responsible forestry management, preventing the loss of natural habitats.
  • No introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations: We prefer to source from suppliers who adhere to non-GMO practices, ensuring the integrity of our ecosystems.
  • No violation of any of the ILO Core Conventions: Our operations will not involve practices that violate principles and rights as established by the International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Conventions, as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, 1998.

While GSB Digital has not conducted a formal environmental impact assessment, we are committed to ongoing evaluation and adaptation of our processes to minimize waste and reduce our environmental footprint. Our core digital operations support sustainable business practices by enabling on-demand production and reducing excess inventory and waste.

We continue to evaluate operations that can be phased out and replaced with more sustainable alternatives. GSB Digital is not currently pursuing a renewable energy or carbon offset program, we hold a certificate of eligibility for participation in Con Edison’s manufacturing district energy cost savings program.

GSB Digital does not currently hold an environmental accreditation but is actively being assessed with EcoVadis.

While we do not publicly publish our environmental performance data, we remain transparent about our sustainability initiatives and share updates on our website as they become available.

GSB Digital does not have a formal supplier diversity program in place; however, we work with a wide range of local, small business, and independently owned suppliers. GSB Digital does not qualify for minority, diversity, or small business status.
