Un Exhibit by Talitha Kum
Talitha Kum is a network of consecrated people who share the mission of fighting against the trafficking of persons through a focus on prevention, protection, and social rehabilitation. This “network of networks” spans across 77 countries and involves over 2000 nuns who have dedicated their lives to helping victims and survivors of human trafficking. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Talitha Kum’s efforts in fighting human trafficking, Pope Francis launched the Nuns Healing Hearts campaign, an exhibition by photographer Lisa Kristine that shows the work the nuns have done across Guatemala, Mexico, The Philippines, Thailand, Italy, and the US.
First displayed within the Vatican on May 10th, the exhibition was to be inaugurated at the United Nations Glass Palace in New York on July 29, 2019. The United Nations reached out to GSB Digital to prepare the installations for the inauguration. Utilizing our HP R2000 Latex bed printer, we printed the exhibit images in full color directly onto white Gator boards and cut them using Zund G3 Digital Cutter. The GSB Digital installation team installed the boards onto Mightee mounts directly onsite at the United Nations.
GSB Digital is honored to produce print that helps create an emotional journey that breaks prejudice, gives an understanding of the daily life of migrants and that shows the commitment and care that fellow nuns offer for the victims of trafficking.
