Paper That Changes the Character
Paper choice affects everything from color and texture to weight and overall feel. We can produce invitations on a range of premium stocks selected to complement the artwork, printing method, and tone of the event.
Texture, Shine and Dimension
Specialty finishing can turn a relatively simple design into something much more distinctive. Raised clear effects, foil, edge painting, layered elements, and other tactile details can be used selectively to add emphasis without overwhelming the piece.
Die Cut to Make a Different Impression
Custom die cutting can introduce shape, cutouts, windows, layered elements, and unexpected edges that make an invitation feel more considered and distinctive. It can be used subtly as a design detail or become a defining feature of the piece.
Custom Ecommerce & Online Ordering
For organizations with recurring events or multiple users, GSB Digital can create custom online ordering solutions that simplify ordering, personalization, approvals, and fulfillment. Branded storefronts can make repeat invitation programs easier to manage while keeping materials and production consistent.
Personalization Built Into the Print
Names, event details, versions, and other variable information can be incorporated directly into production, making it possible to create personalized pieces without treating every version as a separate project.

Can GSB Digital address and mail invitations directly to our guest list?
GSB Digital can manage more than printing. Our in house mail services include variable addressing, list processing, presorting, and mailing for invitations and announcements, allowing printing, personalization, and distribution to be coordinated through one production partner.
Can you print white or metallic ink on dark colored paper?
GSB Digital offers white and metallic ink options that open up possibilities standard CMYK printing cannot achieve. White ink can create strong contrast on dark or colored stocks, while engraving can produce highly opaque white and metallic inks for particularly refined applications.
How do I choose between letterpress, engraving, foil stamping and digital embellishments?
The best process depends on the artwork, paper, desired texture, quantity, and overall effect. Letterpress creates an impression in the paper, engraving produces exceptionally crisp raised ink, traditional foil stamping uses heat and pressure to apply foil, while digital embellishments can add raised clear effects or foil without traditional dies or plates. Our team can help determine which process, or combination of processes, best suits the project.
Is there a minimum quantity for custom invitations?
GSB Digital does not require a minimum quantity for custom invitations and announcements. Production can be tailored to the needs of the project, whether you need a select number of highly customized pieces or a much larger event mailing.
How much time should I allow for custom invitation printing?
Timing depends on the printing method, paper availability, finishing, quantity, and complexity of the project. Specialty processes such as engraving, letterpress, foil stamping, and custom finishing can require additional production time, so involving us early provides the most flexibility. GSB Digital can also accommodate tight deadlines when production requirements allow.
Can invitation edges be custom colored?
Yes. Edge painting can add a solid or metallic color to the exposed edges of thicker invitation stocks, creating a subtle detail that becomes especially noticeable when the piece is handled or viewed from the side.
