“In Straw To Gold, we saw a chance to make something memorable and flexible through fluid, dynamic typography that connects the phrase, reflecting the rare alchemy and transformative effect they bring to each assignment.”As part of the new identity project, Graham hired GSB Digital to produce posters that highlight the new logo. Our team produced these posters using 130# Neenah Classic Crest Epic Black Smooth Cover. We then laminated them with black soft-touch lamination. Finally, to add pop to this design, we embellished them utilizing Scodix Ultra Foil in gold. Our client loved this final piece!
“Once it became clear that the brands purpose was transformation, it wasn’t a huge leap to figure out how to demonstrate that in a fresh and compelling way. Originally I wanted to gold foil the job, but with the name and that effect, I felt it would make the brand feel bookish, stuffy and antiquarian. So I searched for a technology forward approach. That is when a colleague of mine from the Type Directors Club, Karl Heine, showed me the Scodix liquid foil technology. He also introduced me to Debra Douglas at GSB, who is one of the best producers in the business. It has been a huge pleasure working with her and the entire team at GSB Digital.”Our expert team strives to provide the best custom solutions to our clients to make their vision shine. We can’t wait to see more exciting designs like this in the near future!
